We have some cool stuff going on at the studio...more to come on that later. The only reason I mention it is that it's the reason we decided to take Courtney and Jimmy somewhere different for their shoot. My favorite place in Waynesburg to shoot at is the Greene County Historical Museum. Luckily I know a few people, and got a free pass to shoot there that day.
These 2 are getting married a month from today! They made the trip to meet me and chat about the wedding, and also brought the cutest puppy ever, Princess Leia! She was Courtney's wedding gift!
I have a bit of an obsession with this wall...I just love it!

I love it when I get to meet my wedding clients prior to the wedding. I think meeting and chatting and getting to know one another is so important. Think about how much time I spend with my couples during one of the most important days of their lives. I almost become part of the family that day, witnessing and capturing special and sometimes intimate moments. We need a mutual trust and understanding.
For weddings, I work for McMillen Photography. I am invested in this company. As well as shooting weddings, I work in the studio and edit all of the weddings that come through (that's a lot of weddings....). So when you see a wedding or engagement shoot, it will be marked with a McMillen Photography logo. It was shot by me, through them. It's a bit complicated, but works.
Allie and Andrew came in to the studio on Friday. They had a busy day of wedding planning ahead. Cake tasting was after their session. I'm looking forward to testing whatever they chose.
It was a bit chilly, so we started out in the studio. We have a downstairs room that is like a portrait playground. It's great.
Then we headed outside to brave the cold. In April. Brrrr.....I do believe it was a great idea though.
Allie and Andrew are getting married in August at an amazing location, GrandVue Park in Moundsville, West Virginia. I can't wait to spend the day with this amazing couple!

Ok, I promise I will not title each one of these with the post number....
I've been building this site for awhile now, and this is one part that I have been putting off.
I worry that I won't be able to keep up with it, or that I won't know what to say. I have great ideas about writing and such all the time, but follow through seems to be a problem. I sometimes feel that my thoughts do not translate into words. That being said, I will speak with photos for the most part.
Things are about to get very busy for me. My first wedding of the season is next Saturday. And I'm steady from then on out. Until November. I will have no problem finding things to blog about!
Random thought...If you are reading post #1, you have either been around since the beginning, or you dug deep enough to find it. Either way, thank you.
And for your viewing pleasure....Cooper's Rock
